catching up again

24 Feb

Things have been so busy lately. Classes and teaching and work…it’s really catching up to me. Or maybe it left me in the dust a long, long time ago.
Anyway. Here’s an outfit from a couple of weeks ago:

top: ny&co. ($4), cardigan: gap ($11); black denim leggings: old navy (free with rewards); boots: steve madden smyrna ($60); necklace: h&m; cz studs: icing

I decided I think I’m going to start including the prices I paid for the things I wear so that I actually know how much I’m spending on clothes. I think it will be a lot more helpful for me in maybe curbing my shopping a little bit. Although, to be honest, I spend waaay less than I used to back before I only ever bought things on sale or with online coupon codes or with gap rewards cards or free gift cards. For some reason I used to think that a pair of jeans was only “good enough” for me if they were costing me at least $140. Hah! I guess there’s a reason I always shop at Gap stores now – having the rewards credit card does that. Hmm. Musings. Also, just now when I typed “musings” I definitely first typed “museums” – and I did it again just there. Fact about me: museums are my life and I really love it that way.

Oh you are pretty. I feel bad that you’re so busy and I have time to make creepy stuffed bunnies and yummy cookies. Not that I don’t ever get stressed… but I certainly don’t miss working for someone else and studying all the time. I’m glad you like your job and that you love museums and everything related. Like mummies. lol.

Do you think you’ll talk about packing and stuff for your internship? I hope you take lots of pictures when you’re there… Mostly touristy/artsy photos, but maybe a few outfit pics mixed in.

I’ve thought about putting the prices I paid for stuff, but mostly my stuff is all years and years old or from DI or free so I wonder if anyone cares. You’re a great bargain shopper so I can see why putting prices for your stuff is relevant. I like it.

I’m glad you’re wearing this gold shimmery shirt more. I remember you thinking it wouldn’t see a lot of action.

You have way too many cute cardigans. I want some more.
